Basic sandwich bread

Ingredients

1 1/3 cup of water

¼ cup of melted butter

¼ cup of sugar

4 cups of bread flour

1 egg

1 ½ teaspoon white sugar

1 ½ teaspoon of yeast or 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast

Preparation

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl or bread machine. If you’re doing it by hand, mix everything without the flour and add it gradually. Once the dough is stiff, mix it for another 5-10 minutes. Next, cover it and leave it for 20 minutes until it rises, then divide it in as much buns as you like. Bake them for about 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees and take them out. Leave the buns to cool down for a bit before eating.

 

Basic sourdough bread

Ingredients

1 ½ cup of water

2 1/3 cups of fresh sourdough

3 1/3 cups of flour

A pinch of salt

Preparation

Mix the ingredients without the water well, then knead the dough until its thin enough to see through it. Shape it into a loaf then and let it rise twice in size, then reshape it and put it in a pan. Bake the dough for 30-60 minutes at 400 degrees and enjoy.

 

Potato bread recipe

Ingredients

7 oz. mashed potatoes

2 tablespoons softened butter

2 ½ tablespoons sugar or honey

3 ½ cup of bread flour

2 teaspoons of dry yeast

A teaspoon of salt

Preparation

Make the mashed potatoes first, then add the ingredients in a bread machine and mix for about 7-8 minutes. If you decide to do the process yourself, mix everything without the flour, then knead the dough while adding the flour gradually. Cover it next and leave it to rise for 20 minutes, then punch it down and leave it to rise once again. The potato bread should be baked for 40-45 minutes at 375 degrees.

 

French bread recipe

Ingredients

1 ¼ cup of water

1 tablespoon of sugar

A pinch of salt

1 tablespoons of yeast

3 ½ cups of bread flour

Preparation

Mix the sugar, yeast and salt in warm water until they’re dissolved, then add the bread flour slowly until you get a firm dough. Now, leave it to rise for about 20 minutes, then punch it down and let it rise again. Put the dough in a greased pan and allow it to rise a bit more, then bake it for 25 minutes at 400 degrees.
