Military Diet: Lose 10 Pounds In Just 3 Days
The diet we’re presenting in this article is called the military diet and is named due to the quite restrictive dietary plan. Although not for the faint-hearted, the military diet can help you lose up to 10 pounds in just a week better than any other diet.
The military diet lasts for only 3 days and involves consumption of low-calorie foods. 4 days after the diet you should eat lightly and you will be able to see incredible results. The diet is not recommended for the long run, and works best when you need to get quick results.
Although the dietary regimen is restrictive, the diet is easy to follow and includes easily available foods. Each of the meals can be prepared quickly and will help you reach your weight goals in just a week. The diet is great for vegans and vegetarians too who know how to substitute protein and dairy in their diet. Here’s the diet plan:
Breakfast: ½ a grapefruit, a piece of toast, a cup of coffee or tea with no sugar, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
Lunch: a piece of toast, ½ a cup of tuna, a cup of coffee or tea with no sugar
Dinner: 3 ounces of meat (or protein substitute), a cup of green beans, 1 apple, ½ a banana, a cup of vanilla ice-cream
Breakfast: 1 piece of toast, 1 egg, ½ a banana
Lunch: 1 hard-boiled egg, a cup of cottage cheese, 5 salty crackers
Dinner: a cup of broccoli, 2 bun-less hot dogs, ½ a banana, ½ a cup of carrots, ½ a cup of vanilla ice-cream
Breakfast: 5 salty crackers, 1 apple, a slice of cheddar
Lunch: a piece of toast, 1 hard-boiled egg
Dinner: a cup of vanilla ice-cream
Eat whatever food you prefer, but limit your calorie consumption to 1500 a day. You can add mustard, Splenda, sugar-free gum and mint, relish, salt and pepper to your meals. Besides the foods listed above, you should also drink plenty of water for the duration of the diet. This will flush out toxins from your body and boost the fat-burning process, effectively helping you lose weight. Sodas and fizzy drinks are strictly forbidden as they can interfere with the diet.
Although effective, it’s best to consult with a doctor before starting the military diet as it is quite restrictive and may harm your health under certain conditions.
