Restaurant Made 1,000 Meals For Hurricane Victims, Hasn’t Been Covered by Media. Let’s Thank Them
We all have a moral duty to help others during hard times. The recent hurricane season in the USA brought devastating hurricanes (Harvey and Irma) which ravaged parts of Texas and Florida. In the aftermath, many residents and businesses did everything they could to help those affected, and we should thank them for it.
One of those businesses who were helping the most was the Sake Sushi Bar from Port Arthur. Phe Nguyen, son of the owner of the bar Keith Nguyen, decided to write a Facebook post inviting everyone in Texas affected by hurricane Harvey for a nice hot meal.
“My dad and uncle Binh own a restaurant in Southeast Texas and they were also affected by Harvey but the media doesn’t cover it. Today, them, their staff and volunteers helped create over 1000 meals for victims, first responders, and other volunteers. My dad and uncle are both very humble about it but I believe they at least deserve recognition and appreciation for everything that they do. Their restaurant is Sake Sushi Bar and Lounge in Port Arthur, TX. If you’re ever in the area you should stop by and support these hard-working men, or even share their good deed on Facebook. They deserve it,” Nguyen wrote. The post was shared over 200 000 times with many Americans showing their support for the restaurant.
“It takes people like this to prove to all America that we have good, kind-hearted people everywhere! Thanks and God bless!”
“Words cannot convey the gratitude and thanks for your great deed! We are all one!!”
“God bless Binh Nguyen and Phe Nguyen for their generosity. Everyone should look up the Sake Sushi Bar and Lounge when in Port Arthur, TX!!!!”
This are just some of the comments made on Phe’s post. These people deserve all the praise they can get, so make sure to visit their restaurant if you’re ever in Texas.
